About the role

Kiyoshi Japanese Restaurant is looking for a confident and personable Restaurant Hostess to join the team immediately. This role is the first point of contact for guests and plays an important part in creating a welcoming, organised, and memorable dining experience.

You will support the smooth flow of the restaurant by greeting guests warmly, managing reservations, coordinating seating, and maintaining clear communication with the service team. The ideal candidate is outgoing, attentive, and comfortable engaging with guests while providing polished and professional service.

• Welcome guests warmly and create a positive first impression.
• Manage guest arrivals, seating, and table flow in an organised manner.
• Handle reservations and guest information accurately using SevenRooms.
• Communicate clearly with guests and coordinate effectively with the restaurant team.
• Respond to guest questions and requests with professionalism and care.
• Monitor the waiting area and help ensure guests are kept informed.
• Pay close attention to details such as reservations, seating preferences, and special requests.
• Support a smooth and hospitable front-of-house operation.
